Background:
Perla is a first-generation college student, and she grew up in Napa, CA. Perla is a peer mentor because she knows the struggles of being one of the first in your family to get a college degree. Perla hopes to continue guiding others and helping them succeed.
Favorite thing about being a FAST Peer Mentor:
Perla has been with FAST for 1 year, and her favorite thing about being a peer mentor is making connections with her students.
Future Goals:
After graduation, she plans to become a 3rd grade teacher.
