Background:

Jeremy grew up in the Los Angeles area and is currently pursuing a career in education at SSU. He has been in mentor and leadership roles since high school, working with elementary students to teach them math and science. Ever since, he has wanted to help to encourage the next generation and has continued that passion with the Peer Mentor program.

Favorite thing about being a FAST Peer Mentor:

Jeremy has been with the FAST Program for a year, and his favorite part of the position is helping to create a friendly environment within the classroom. He loves to watch incoming freshmen begin to overcome their nerves and start to become friends with each other. 

Future Goals:

After graduation, Jeremy plans on continuing his role in the classroom, going on to grab a teaching credential and work in the California education system. He would love to go back down south and become a high school English teacher. Someday, he would even like to teach college classes as a professor.
