Background: Christina is a second-generation Slavic immigrant with a deep passion for medicine and music. As the oldest sibling, she actively supported her younger siblings' education by helping with homework, encouraging their academic growth, and serving as a positive role model. Her passion for mentorship continued as she led kindergarten and second-grade classes at a homeschool organization, where she guided students through lessons, fostered an engaging learning environment, and encouraged their academic and personal growth. These experiences strengthened her passion for mentoring and helping others succeed. Now a student at Sonoma State University, Christina is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, build confidence, and achieve their goals. She believes mentorship builds meaningful connections, empowers others, and helps every student realize their potential.
Favorite thing about being a FAST Peer Mentor: Christina’s favorite thing about being a peer mentor is being excited to meet the new class!
Future Goals: After graduating from Sonoma State University, Christina plans to continue her education in the medical field and pursue a healthcare career. She hopes to combine her passion for science with her commitment to serving others while gaining experience through research and clinical opportunities. Her goal is to make a meaningful impact by providing compassionate care and advocating for the well-being of her future patients.
