Background:
Alebreana is a proud black woman from Oakland, California. Growing up a young girl from a less-than-fortunate town and parents who never went to college, she’s always understood the importance of having a good education. She’s always had an interest in working with children and their mental health. This led her to the choice to continue into higher education. As a first-generation college student, she works hard to make a better life for herself and her family.
Favorite thing about being a FAST Peer Mentor:
This is Alebreana's first year with FAST as a Peer Mentor, and she absolutely loves it. She loves working with her students and putting in that work to build that bond with them. Working with her co-workers is always a great time and leads to great conversations.
Future Goals:
One of Alebreana's main goals after graduation is to secure a nice position working as a child psychologist. She's always known that she wanted to work with children, and after working so hard for a Psychology degree, she can continue that work with children and their own mental health.
